Help on Using the Shot Lists

Overview

When you click the Shot Lists link in the header of all pages, you land on the Shot List Index page. This is the "Table of Contents" for all Shot Lists. There are various kinds of lists available. Several offer an alternate way to explore Photo Stock Source photos. They provide listings of photos by titles, numbers, locations, etc. There are also lists of gallery names and all of the currently active search keywords.

This alternate way of exploring photos allows you to find those that are related to each other in ways other than specific keywords. As new lists are added to this site, they will appear in the Shot Lists Index.

You access each List by clicking on its title in the left column.

Using the Lists

Although they look quite similar, each List page displays information in a specific order - specified by the title of the list. For example, the Photo Titles list is in alphabetical order by photo title, and the Photo Numbers list is in order by photo number. Each of the Photo lists has the photo number in the left column. You can access a large photo view by clicking on the photo number in any of these lists. Clicking on the name will take you to the gallery page of the photo in most cases.

Most lists have an index heading you can use to navigate to different areas of the list that looks something like this:

Pg 1 | Pg 2 | Pg 3 | Pg 4 | Pg 5 | Pg 6 | Pg 7 | Pg 8 | Pg 9 | Pg 10

Clicking on page numbers takes you into the list on that page.

Many also have an alphabetical index for the text lists that are sorted alphabetically and look something like this:

a | b | c | d | e | f | g | h | i | j | k | l | m | n | o | p | q ...

This index allows you to go directly to the page where that letter of the alphabet starts. These indexes are found at both the top and bottom of each page.

The Photo Categories list contains all of the Photo Category Galleries, with the number of photos each one contains. You can access each of them by clicking on their name.

The Active Keywords list is an alphabetical index of all of the active keywords that you can use in the Search Tool, with the number of photos that can be retrieved using that keyword.
